Frequently Asked Questions
Our tours run rain or shine, and we do our best to proceed even in light or intermittent rain. We recommend dressing appropriately and bringing a raincoat or umbrella if rain is forecast.
We will only cancel a tour if the weather poses a genuine safety risk. In such cases, we will notify you by email and SMS—ideally with as much notice as possible, though sometimes conditions require decisions as late as 60 minutes before the start time. If we cancel, you will receive a full refund.
Not at all. You don’t need a design degree to enjoy our tours. We talk about the city through the lens of architecture, but without jargon or exclusivity.
Our tours are designed to be accessible, engaging, and thought-provoking—for the design-curious, not just the design-trained. If an idea is worth sharing, it should be easy to understand. That’s our approach.
We have been known to accommodate charming requests. Reach out with your preferred date and details – we will do our best to make it happen.
Yes. We regularly run tours for high school groups and university students as well. Tours can be tailored from half a day to multi-day programs.
The more information you share with us—age group, focus, timing—the better we can customize something memorable and meaningful.
We kindly ask that all tours be booked in advance. This helps us create a well-paced experience for everyone and ensures we keep group sizes comfortable and engaging. Spontaneity is wonderful—but in this case, a little planning goes a long way.
We accept bank transfers as well as Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.
Send us a text or call—though if the tour has already started, we may not be able to pick up. Most tours begin with a short introduction (10–20 minutes) at the meeting point, so if you’re just a little late, you’ll probably still spot us.
Yes! We can help you create the perfect gift. Our gift cards are redeemable for any of our tours and can be customized for special occasions.
We get it. These aren’t typical tours. They are created by architects and designers who spend their days studying the city—and their weekends walking through its layers.
Our tours are part research project, part passion project. They are critical, joyful, and full of ideas—not trivia. We explore the politics, history, and design thinking that shape the city today.
Think of them as conversations in motion, informal but informed. It’s like taking a crash course in architecture, urbanism, and culture—with people who care deeply about the places we walk through.
Not particularly, but you should be comfortable walking for a couple of hours. We try to keep routes accessible and inclusive, but good footwear is essential. In summer, expect Rome’s famously hot weather—bring water and dress accordingly.
